Maintenance 1a+ was founded in 2007 by five Colombian immigrant workers who were unsatisfied with the cleaning industry's work conditions. Collectively, they decided to take their negative experiences and transform them into a new opportunity. The result is Maintenance 1a+, a unique workers cooperative where new immigrant workers can proudly apply their experience, and where client satisfaction, equality, and ecology are valued!  As well, Maintenance 1a+ uses only certified green cleaning products. Our co-op does its part to minimize our impact on the environment.

A main goal of the co-op is to generate ongoing employment for its members. By creating a sustainable work environment that values good client relations, outstanding service, worker equality, and ecological awareness...Maintenance 1a+ is well on their way to helping make our community a greener fairer and cleaner place to do business.
